First Eagles (Also called First Eagles: The Great Air War 1918) is a flight simulation game developed by Third Wire Productions.
The game's plot is set on World War I in the period between years 1917 and 1918. First Eagles' success was due to its "open architecture" which enabled gamers to change and enhance many aspects, including the adding of new aircraft, maps, weapons and many others. As in many other Third Wire developments, the game is based on the same engine we can find in Strike Fighters.

Gameplay:
Depending on the skill level you set the game and your own skill level, every aerial combat can result in different ways. In general, they will be short distance fights which can end in airplanes collision, rapid and out of control spinning, ground crash, you can also be got by Anti Aircraft Artillery, or even get seriously wounded and killed.

As it is a "lite simulation" game, it is not very difficult to learn and to master it, flying different planes can be done easily, once you got a little practice. So engaging yourself in a Single Mission is a good way to get some experience for the Campaign mode as it brings all the mission kinds the gamer is going to face in all campaigns.

All in all, having fun with this air combat simulator is going to be easy and straight forward.
